Volunteers contribute so much to the services we provide at St. Vincent Family Center.
There are many opportunities to help...
Community Picnic, August 16:
We will need volunteers to help set-up time 9am- 1pm
We also need vendors to represent the community by setting up their company/agency booth, community booth 2pm-6pm
Tear-down: 6pm-7:30pm
Need in-kind donations (food, water, give always, etc.)
Back to School Drive
Collect school items
Help sort and package school items
Drop off dates are July 25 26 from 9-2 we will need volunteers to help unload supplies
Landscaping projects:
Plant new flowers below SVFC sign on Kelton
Plant new flowers in beds below Deaf Services windows
Plant a flower/vegetable garden with the children
Remove railroad ties in playground area
Built a landscaping tier by playground with mulch, wooden border, we need loads of top soil, remove bushes
Painting projects:
CPST Offices
Bus Entrance
TSA clinical offices-2nd floor
Administrative offices-2nd floor/3rd floor
Front desk area
Classrooms
Playground equipment
RES ground floor entrance hallways
Maintenance work projects:
Creation of a storage room (in Preschool hallway) for tables and chairs: drywall, lighting, door, chair and table carts
Wash gym wall mats, replace some torn mats + paint gym walls (scaffolding required)
Organize storage room by gym and install wall hooks + purchase new carts for gym balls
Creation of a training room: new floor, new ceiling, add walls, shelving, dry erase boards, install projector and screen
Replace carpet in two respite rooms – material and labor
Replace carpet in all Residential bedrooms – material and labor
Replace carpet in RES 2nd floor hallway – material and labor
Cleaning/Sewing Projects
Cafeteria: clean wood panels on serving area, clean vents, repaint where necessary
Remove wood from cafeteria walls
Window washing
Closets - reorganizing
Curtains for cafeteria, basement group room, Res ground floor half-baths, RES dining room
Donate a twin bed in a bag and help decorate a child’s bedroom
Holiday Help
Provide gifts for children and families at Christmas time
Help wrap and sort gifts
We also have opportunities for you to do projects with the children as a group:
pizza party
decorating cookies
crafts, etc
We are always looking for people with special skills:

Artists
