Meet Our Executive Team

Michelle Ward, M.Ed., LSW
President/CEO

Michelle joined us in January 2002 as our Chief Operating Officer. Michelle had previously been the CEO at The Prevention Council of Central Ohio. She became the CEO of St. Vincent in June 2002. Michelle has over 15 years of experience in non-profit management. In addition to the mental health system, Michelle has experience working in the alcohol and drug, homeless and children’s protective systems. Michelle has a Bachelors degree in Criminology from The Ohio State University and a Masters degree in Counseling from The University of Dayton. She is a licensed social worker in the state of Ohio. Michelle serves on many local and statewide committees dealing with children’s mental health, legislative and state and local system issues. Michelle is also a member of the Downtown Rotary and the Columbus Metropolitan Club

Robert Garrett
VP / Chief Financial Officer

Robert Garrett, CPA, has been with St. Vincent Family Centers since 2002.  He previously served as Controller and most recently as Finance Director. Bob has over 30 years of experience in financial management. He has an MBA from the University of Dayton and a Bachelor's Degree from The Ohio State University. In addition to his duties at St. Vincent Family Centers, Bob is an adjunct professor teaching financial accounting at Franklin University .

Ginger Young, MA, LSW
VP/Clinical Operations

Ginger has served in one capacity or another in Ohio’s Mental Health system since 1988, most recently as a Program Development Specialist for the Ohio Department of Mental Health. Ginger’s experience in the provision of mental health services includes case management for a Deaf Community Treatment Team, as a Crisis Intervention Clinician and as a Vocational Development Specialist. She was also the Director of Social Services at Columbus Colony Elderly Care, a nationally known nursing and rehabilitative facility for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing residents. Ginger holds an Associate’s Degree in Interpreting and Transliterating from Columbus State Community College, a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Ohio Dominican University and a Master’s of Public Administration from the Ohio State University. She is also a Licensed Social Worker in the State of Ohio.

Carol Trowbridge
VP / Performance and Quality Improvement

Carol Trowbridge joined the St. Vincent Family Centers team in June 2006.  Carol was previously Vice President for Grants, Compliance and Research for the YWCA Columbus and also has over 25 years experience in juvenile corrections, alcohol and other drug treatment and prevention.  She has a Master's degree from The Methodist Theological School and is both a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC) and an Ohio Certified Prevention Consultant (OCPC).   She is a member of the Central Ohio Amateur Radio Emergency Services and volunteers as an emergency communicator for a number of community events.
